How will the Detroit Lions manage to screw up this years draft? Seriously, as someone from Detroit I have seen them screw up draft after draft after draft. I'm just curious if this time they're going to pick a quarterback with no hands (though looking back I think we HAVE done that a few times).

They will screw it up by not drafting Wisconsin's Tackle Joe Thomas. Kitna has the ability to be a very good QB, but he had zero blocking last year. If the Lions draft Quinn or Russell, they will not do any better, because they will be on there backs as much, if not more than Kitna was last year.

Every draft pick is a risk every team has to take.

Some early draft picks could end up being busts while late draft picks could be immidiate impacts.

No matter what player a team chooses, its a matter of how that player will do. You can't say that the Lions are screwing the draft picks.

I mean, the person YOU want them to draft could possibly a simple bust. We all don't know untill the season starts and the rookies show what they got.

They will screw it up by drafting another WR!

To add to that, the WR won't even be Calvin Johnson!

To make matters worse, they will probably draft WR Dallas Baker outta Florida or Yamon FIgurs out of KC State at #2!

Go get'em Lions Management! Make the Texans drafting of Mario Williams seem like child's play!

the only way the Lions might screw this up is that in the event that they commerce way down from the #2 spot, like out of the best 10 through fact they might desire to get a useful 10 prospect to help them out...........the best %. may be a Brady Quinn or Joe Thomas........yet whilst they experience that they choose for yet another reciever which i individually dont think of they do (seem for a breakout season from their new reciever Shaun McDonald) they might get Calvin Johnson. i individually think of that if Brady Quinn is on the board they might desire to take him........he's maximum waiting for the NFL for the reason that he has been individually recommended by using Charlie Weiss (a guy that Tom Brady credited together with his progression) for 2 years. If no longer him I say they get Joe Thomas to help the O-Line or Gaines Adams to help their pass rush which wouldnt be a foul theory through fact their secondary isnt looking too super at this factor after dropping Dre Bly.

by taking brady quinn. Matt millen should have been fired 2 years ago after taking 3 wr in the last 3 years. moron. and im a 49ers fan. Hate to say it detroit is gonna suck for a while to clean up millen's mistakes. they need to spent some money in free agency and get another coach like mike singletary inject some mean blood in the system. they sould take adrian peterson cause their rb sucks kevin something from VT i forget his name right now

They will probably mess up because they will take another reicever(if there dumb) And they really need a QB wich they should take. I hope they do get a QB. I dont want to see another Good young WR go down the tubes with that team.

They will trade all of this year, and next year's picks to the Raiders for the #1, and then let the clock run out on them.

hopefully they wont screw up this year and pick jemarcus russell if hes still available or calvin johnson or adrian peterson but i hope they dont pick a defensive player because D players dont make the team good but if they pick a good offensive player they will be fine
