That's a lot of questions...

If i had the power (have you been watching Heroes?), I would freak out, I'm sure. There's always a balance to be maintained and the responsibility of learning that with minimum collateral damage would be too much pressure. Yes, I would try to make the world a peaceful place, but sometimes the best way is to use your normal human powers like : communication, empathy, generosity... rather than telekinesis or flight.

You know what's more admirable? People who know the questions and pursue the answer and accept that not everything can be revealed to them. Life without mysteries is life without spice.

There are more things on heaven and earth, Horatio, than can be dreamed of in our philosophy...

If I had the power to bring back the dead, and if indeed they wanted to come back,I might do it,if it were for the right reason. And what would make it a "right reason"?If I could speak every language and could reach out to others and some how make this world a better place for everyone,by all means I would do this.If there was a chance that my attempting to do this could possibly make this world a worse place,I would leave that power alone. We have the intelligence and power to do allot of things I believe,if we do indeed believe that we have them.I believe people have allot more "power" then they are even aware of as individuals, because they do not believe in themselves or the unknown or what is not proven by science or to the naked eye.If I had the power to do anything that you listed above without a possible recourse for anyone or everyone then yes I would love to make the world a better more peaceful place to be,Peace however can be where you find it,so look within yourself and know that you are doing all that you can do to make your world a better place, and most importantly be at peace with yourself.

What you're really asking is "Is this the best possible world" which just happens to be one of the big mother load philosophical questions.

I believe that this is the best possible world and therefore, if the world would have been better off had I possesed those powers then I would have them. I follows then that since I do not have those powers, if I did, I would in fact make things worse. Which, knowing myself and everyother jacked-up human being I'd have to agree with that. It is impossible for us goofy little humans to possibly imagine all the effects of traditionally "bad" things like starvation in Africa and determine what the net outcome of all of those events are. Maybe some little starving kid grows up and cures every known disease ever to exist, and is motivated by his tough childhood. Can you even compare those two and say that the starvation was not worth it in the long run? No, it's an impossible moral judgement. This world is the best possible world.

There is an old adage "Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely."
What would happen if a single person had all this power? There would be hell on earth.
Even the best intentioned person still sees things from their point of view, and to have control over the others on the earth would lead to an absolute dictatorship. And a Dictatorship, no matter how well intentioned, still means a lack of choice, of freedom for the individual.

We simply do not have the brain power to work out the consequences of our every action, and with the "power of God" we would be driven into madness and chaos!

I would use all those powers.

I would fly to the moon at the speed of light, solve the god question, look for other life forms, build a swing set on the moon, eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, jump off the swing, and then tell everybody I could as fast as I could about what I found out.

I would even share my powers with you :)

There is a perfect order to the universe, and I'm sure I'd screw it up and become corrupt like everyone else given the opprotunity.

But I'd really love the "superpower" to make time stand still for everone but me at will.

Butterfly Effect - need i say more? There is a reason things are the way they are. If I had the power I would not use it...having the power you would know not to abuse it.
