It must not have been bacon!
I don't think there is any big deal. It is just food, like apples, beef, fish, lettuce, butter or sugar. Just food, no special magical powers. Some people like pork, some people like eel. Some people like ketchup on their eggs. It does not really matter as long as there is good conversation at the table.

I don't much like pork, either. But when I was living in Detroit, I went to a block party where most of the residents were black or Islander, and I'll tell you what, they know how to do things to meat that will make you never want to touch veggies again! *unless it's attached to pork*
once you go black, you never go to a whitey restaurant again!

Don't give up on it. I used to get nothing but Carne asada tacos, now all I get is pork tacos. It makes a big difference how it's prepared.

it's ok i tried lamb on easter it tasted funny i guess because it was the first time i had it yoiu can try pork again just cook it different

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of pork either.
