They are a crazy bunch of people. They find a way to blame religion so that everything seems ok. The two things that get people from getting their severe form of punishment is through blaming religion and appearing to be insane when they are not. I probably misunderstood your question but I dont care. This is what I have to say and now I have said it.

And if the Koran says that a believer turned non-believer must be killed, then so be it! But there is also a verse in the Koran that says "there shall be no coercion in matters of faith." But they don't really seem to mind that one.
The only other reason I can see that they can believe is that the Koran does have a lot of insightful and beautiful truths between its pages. Trouble is, people may start getting toofaithful because they can testify and relate to the truths of this book, and then accept whatever else the book has to say (even if their reason or logic doesn't necessarily agree) as truth too.
