It happens all the time...OJ's trial, Anita Hill, operation desert storm, the war in Iraq, Katrina, the tsunami...the list is endless. I find it disturbing that people view this as entertainment. Any comments?

I feel that way, too. I felt like I was violating these people by watching the latest Grief-a-palooza. I have decided to limit my watching and reading about this, because you can't give someone the space they need by getting into the crowd and shouting "Give them space!" You need to actually step the hell away.
I've seen enough death to know that they need space, and that when the reporters check out of Blacksburg's and Roanoke's hotel rooms, the people who really need to be thinking about it will be experiencing empty chair syndrome. We need to let them. It's so stupid to even be talking about healing.
I keep thinking and saying, "There are much more important things than my curiosity."

So? The NEWS had it's turn with this "Story". Isn't that what our culture is all about? Great entertainment, great deals, great stuff at the expense of your environment, shopping, playing, cellphones, driving around in cars, making trite TV movies out of serious stuff and summing it up in a nice package pretending to care about the issue when really only wanting to fill air space.

I don't find it entertaining & neither to the parents, brothers,sisters & other families of the victims. I hope someone would stop that movie from being made.
