find the common ration and the first four terms of the geometric sequence
{2^(n-2)/10}

calculate the values of the terms
n=1 term = 1/20
n=2 term = 1/10
n=3 term = 2/10
n=4 term = 4/10

obviously each term is 2 times the preceding term, so the common ratio is 2.

f(1) = 2^-1/10 = 1/2 / 10 = 1/20
f(2) = 2^0/10 = 1/10
f(3) = 2^1/10 = 2/10 = 1/5
f(4) = 2^2/10 = 4/10 = 2/5
