It's called a mental addiction babe.
Sometime people with a lot of problems can get mentally addicted to escape type drugs such as: alchohol, weed, and lsd, even if those things don't phisically addict you.
You start to like the high more than you like regular life so it slowly becomes an addiction. Once you reach the point where it's an addiction you start to experience conditional depression.
See, you're so used to being happy under the influence, that the completely normal amount of sadness you feel when you're not brings you entirely down and makes you feel depressed.
You need to stop doing whatever you're doing completely, and try to get back to normal life. The longer you go using substances as an escape the worse it will get.

It's just that when you are under the influence, you are more uninhibited and that's why it is so much fun and feels so good. That shouldn't be the only time you are happy though. Try laying off for a while and find other things that make you happy. I know you can come up with some things you enjoy doing without being under the influence. Besides, you are not really yourself, you are an uninhibited version of yourself. Be careful that it doesn't become the only happiness in your life because then you will end up in the ward.

Because it is a euphoria. You forget your daily grind and just focus on your influence. It can become a problem, but it can also be a good thing if done in moderation.

Try this one evening...well...two evenings...have someone else bring you drinks...they shouldn't tell you if they are 'influential'...see how things go...
Would be interesting to see if you just need to 'think' your under....
but...if you really feel this way, yes...you need to seek some counseling...
