I think it is. Even though your not getting it from a site (you get it from other people) you are still copying the artists music. Like burning a copy of a CD. Its not likely, however, for you to get into trouble. I use it all the time.

yes it's illegal.i heard that a person got caught and had to pay thousands of dollars.it was a teen,his parents must be heated.i would of killed that kid of mine....
