The contestants were split into two groups of high and low votes. Sanjaya Malakar, Blake Lewis and Lakisha Jones were in the bottom three. Blake got to sit back down and SANJAYA GOT SENT HOME!!!

Sanjaya was not kicked off when he was terrible. But he has been schooled to tone it and to wear more appealing hairstyles. Now that he is cute in an innocent way, and a good entertainer, and even a decent singer given the right song for him, he is kicked off -- and boring Chris is still there. Lakisha who has an outstanding voice was in the bottom two. Chris still in it? Good night, the boy must have something, but it sure is not a singing voice. Sanjaya is more interesting. Lakisha has one of the top three best voices on the program. America is nuts. Besides Jordan, Melinda and Lakisha, the other best singers, like Stephanie, were inexplicably canned.
