how about total shutdown, miscommunicating impulses, inflammation, irritation, body absorbtion, aggressive cell destruction or suffocation of tissue through abundance of white cells. strokes and other clots from aggressive cells.

Rejection can provoke many feelings and emotions such as self esteem, self worth, depression, anxiety about not being good enough,etc. On the other hand, rejection in a work environment can sometimes motivate the person to work harder and do better. It depends on what the rejection was about. I say if you rejected the first time, try and try again.
