Divorced people...? My answers:
This is the first time I have written on this new site I have joined. I have not found my way to tell my story as of yet, but maybe this is a way to start.
I left on Sept 16th, the divorce was served by Oct 30 of that same year. It then took until Sept of the following year to become final. So that would make it shortly over one month of separation before filing and then 11 more months to be divorced. So almost a year to the day of leaving and being divorced. It was a very long and hard road.
I have just this month, April of 07, dated for the first time. So from Sept of 05 to April of 07, was how long it took me to even be close to a man again. All I needed was my two little girls, 5 & 8. No men. So a total of 19 months to date again.
Thank you, this was a good way to start to come out of my shell on here.
Many blessings,

I'm going through a divorce right now. I don't think I would get involved in a sexual relationship right away. I have to know that person for a good year before I do. I didn't mess with a seperation. I'm going straight into a divorce.

I have been divorced twice and married three times..
My 1st divorce we seperated and I filed divorce paperwork 1 week later.. I didn't want him back after he left with the babysitter.... I started dating within 3 years didn't marry until about 6 years after the divorce... (We have since gotten over the angry and are friends we have 2 children together and try to be the best parents we can be for them)
My 2nd divorce we seperated.. I filed divorce paperwork and a restraining order the 2 days later... In the interum he broke into my house slashed my clothing to pieces, slashed my bed (waterbed) and left a message on my phone to the effect of "If I can't sleep with you in that bed no one will." (I haven't seen him since court where he was arrested for contempt because he couldn't keep his mouth shut and even told the judge off.) I met my current husband in a twist of fate about a week after i filed for the divorce... We were dating before the divorce was finalized...

i wanted a divorce, plain and simple and quickly from my abusive ex. so we separated but he kept putting off the court dates for a year and a half. (meaning we were separated for 1 1/2 yrs before finally getting a divorce)
i didn't date for at least 10 months after our separation - i needed time - to delve into work as i was now a single mom and to spend w/my kids - my life was pretty much upheaval while i was trying to be strong and stable for my kids. it was no time to be thinking about having a happy, healthy relationship. when i was ready, i had my first date!

I started dating about three months after my divorce was on paper. I then met my current fiancee online on ok cupid and now I am living with him. we had no seperation just the regular divorce. He filed the papers behind my back without telling me so I had no choice either way.

It was two years for me...but only because I waited until I moved back to California and began dating some of the men I knew when I was younger.
