The word you are refering to I believe is Quantitative--it gives the actual amount of pregnancy hormone, hcg, in your blood. Anything over 5 is positive. Here's a chart with average levels-- http://www.fertilinet.com/hcg_%20levels_in_%20pregnancy.htm

The number should double every 2-3 days.

There is a Quantitative and a Qualitative test that can be done. One, the Quantitative measures the amount of the hormone (hcg) in your blood. The Qualitative test just gives a yes or no answer. A quantitative test is used when the doctor or healthcare provider wants to know how 'pregnant' you are.

I have never heard of 'quant' but when I was 4 days pregnant my HG (human growth) hormone was at 250 I think, and it is suppose to double everyday
