I have. Not funny and very sad. You should do that person a favor, whether you like them or not, and let them know ANONYMOUSLY , that some people know that they drink at work, and that you don't want to get them in trouble, but are concerned with their well being. That person likely thinks that no one know and they're getting by with it, and in all actuality, is slowly falling down a mountain. You may save their job, marriage, and even their life by giving them a soft kick in the ***.

Easiest route would be too learn some Polish and fly into London via Poland.
Then you would get a bar job no problem.
They might even offer you a job as a dentist.

it`s very easy...there are tons of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. & they always need people who can speak english...several years back i traveled to london from the u.s. for a 6-month stay...i could`ve had a job within a few days, as there were many opportunities available, but i wanted to hold out for something that i felt was a good "fit" for me personally...make sure u check out tnt magazine (online here http://www.tntmagazine.com/ & available free at countless locations around london, including metro stations, restaurants, etc.), which is an invaluable tool for accommodation listings, job postings, etc...i found both of my london jobs thru the tnt mag...

p.s. i worked both jobs without a work permit...it`s very easy to find employment that doesn`t require u to have one...

You do know about the minimum wage?
And how much it is?
And the cost of living in London?
Hmmm.
