Suicide is usually the result of someone cryptically crying out for attention or help. If the secret code goes unbroken for too long then the person can paint themselvs into a corner where they believe they have no choice but to act on their threats and kill themselves.
They often fantasize over the attention they will get at their funerals and burials and even when their bodies are found.
---HOWEVER: We know that life tends to eventually go on and the person will be somewhat forgotten once again, only now, being dead, they can't remind anyone of them so easily.
This is why I think we are seeing a new trend of TAKING PEOPLE WITH THEM AS THEY GO. It is a sort of insurance policy that they will finally be noticed, heard, and remembered! Cho took things to new heights and left video and photos and writings to be seen after his death as though he rose from the grave to have the final word.
I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO, BUT WE NEED TO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THIS IS A NEW TREND THAT SEEM

Your totally right!!!
If the media keeps playing mass murderers and suicidals as heroes suffering so terribly, this will keep on happening.
I think that the media should focus on the harm that Cho caused instead of how troubled he was.
The media should bring positive attention to those who have many troubles and do great things.
Not paint Cho as some sort of a hero.
Cho was just like a terrorist, the only difference was he wasn't acting out a twisted version of Islam, but a twisted version of his beliefs all the same.

I disagree with you. At a very dark time in my life I had suicidal thoughts. The only thing that stopped me was religion. I did not want to go to hell.
I did not tell people the way I was feeling/thinking so I did not paint myself in a corner.
I did not fantasize over the attention I would get.
Nothing mattered. I tried to make anything matter. What would this do to my parents - my children. I just couldn't make anything matter.
When I would think of the act I would think of a way I could do it so that I would not make a mess - I did not want my children to find me - pills were to much of a what if (I could go on but I won't)
Point being that I think the reason that we are seeing more and more of this is because the media sensationalizes acts like this so much that people who are prone to mental disease think that it is cool and that they will be immortalized if they do something like that.

Oh, no, I think this is a very old trend. Look through history, and you will see senseless mass murders popping up here and there. Don't worry about it excessively, but do pay attention.
I agree completely with you that it is a even-more selfish twist on the old suicide ploy.

You have really put some thought into this and you are very good at understanding human nature. I am impressed! As for these unfortunate incidents, yes, they are sad and uncalled for. We all, as a community need to reach out to each other for the greater good. Everyone needs compassion and understanding to prevent crazy things like the Virginia Tech incident from happening.

I agree. I have always thought of it as the most selfish thing I've ever seen. Their easy escape is leaving their relatives, friends, world, etc. in shambles and leaving who they love to pick up the peices with their extra problem of your death on their shoulders added to their other ones. Agree 100%

to eventually destroy those he percieved who did .You watch
too much tv .You as he was is obviously incredibly emotionally immature.I think all your problems are already do to others with no business in anyone elses intervening or imposing life styles or their dreams that do not fit in any way yours
