In my opinion, life is a series of adjustment of the basic goals that we make very early in our life. As time passes by, we might outgrow some of the goals we made as some might look futile, some might not look as reachable, and some simply uninteresting in that juncture of life. Yes, it's like climbing a mountain, just when we think we have climbed some peak, we realize that another peak is there that we haven't climbed yet! I think that is life. Perhaps if we focus on the things that we have so far, will make us less anxious. I read somewhere,'' If you have clothes on your back, roof on your head and food on the table, you are one of the richest people in the world, because millions of people are dying of hunger and disease because they have none of what we have''. After i read that, I always remember the facts before I start with my own litany of troubles. But I'm not saying that you don't work hard for the things that you believe in because only trying is in our hands, not the outcome is, my dear friend.

Reaching your goals is a journey that can be longer and harder for some people than for others. I think as long as you never give up and continue to work towards that goal, one day you will acheive it. My wife didn't get her dream job in her career until she was 40. She had been in the business for 20 years and had worked her way to the top. Once you get there, you find that all the blood, sweat and tears have been worth it. You are never too old to stop reaching for your goals. If you truly want it bad enough and stay on track with your plans, you will get there! Never give up on something you really want out of life.

I guess you've been caught in routines too long. Arrange for a break to give you some time just for yourself. To reasses your goals: after all this time and considering what has happened to date, are they realistic and achieveable? You may set some short-term goals to start again. They will give you satisfaction once you reach them one by one and boost your spirit to accomplish the ultimate goal of your life.

Ehh, I have given up on goals before and I'm only 14. Not many people really reach their goals in the ghetto.
