Since Dec. I've only been getting my periods every 2 months... I missed Jan. got it in Feb.. Missed March...still not yet in April... I took a preg. test which is negative, my doctor said maybe I'm just ovulating later... but could it be anything else?? Do you think this is the beginning of a bigger issue or that it'll be harder for me to get pregnant?

What you are describing is a cycle irregularity, so something is off. That could be nutrition, stress, environment or improper body balance (i.e. your weight to height ratio). So what can you do to make your cycles more regular? 1. Eat right 2. Exercise right (don't overdo it) 3. Sleep in darkness (lights affect fertility)

You are having "anovulatory cycles" which means you go from one period to the next without ovulating. This is common for young girls who are just starting their periods and for older women nearing menopause. Do you you fit in either of these groups? If not......

You might be overdieting or overexercising. If a woman is "too skinny" this can negatively affect her reproductive hormones and throw off cycles. Sex hormones are stored in the fatty tissues.

Have you ever been pregnant or is it possible you had a miscarriage that you mistook for a period? Sometimes right after being pregnant, a woman's cycle will take many months to regulate again. I only ask this since you said this started in December, so obviously you've not had this problem for years.

Also, have you been checked for a possible hormonal disorder? You might try adding a great supplement called Optivite to your daily regiment. It's specially formulated for women of childbearing age.

Best of luck.

I don't want to sound mean, but it could be that you're losing too much weight. If you get anorexic your period can go away, that's happened to 2 of my friends. If not, keep in touch with your doctor about it.

other than being pregnant, women occasionally miss periods, mostly due to stressful factors .if you are regularly missing your periods, it may be due to polycystic ovaries, sub thyroid states or any other hormonal dysfunction.. a specialist will help you to overcome the problem and with appropriate treatment , you may be able to conceive. best of luck!
