Maybe you don't like the answere you are getting, then ask a decent question, not stupid ones. How are people living here going to be able to give you answers about living there. Are you really asging about Russia or are you asking about what the old USSR?
Are you asking about differences in wages, differences in capitalism and communism, differences in grocery stores, differences in schools. Are you asking which is better and which is worse?.
If you want something that is mature and informational, than ask it that way and not be such a ninny when you get stupid answers to stupid questions.

SIMILARITIES
both a mix of different groups of people
both struggle with fundementalist muslims and have fought wars in afghanistan.
have nuclear weapons.
DIFFERENCES
food is much different.
americans eat dinner at around 5 or 6. russians eat dinner around 10pm.
americans seem to dislike vladimir putin, but russians love him.
americans love jews, russians do not.
that is just what i could come up with...
