I need a copy of my daughters birth certificate and was wondering if we could get it at the courthouse in Ohio County WV where she was born. Someone told me to go to like the 5th floor

The birth certificates are available at Vital Registration Room 165, 350 Capitol Street, Charleston, WV 25301-3701. If you are a walk-in client there, there is a different form to be filled out.
Requests are usually processed within five (5) business days. However, during some months of heavy volume, it may take as long as three weeks to get a birth certificate.
