Don't offer her advice, just offer support.
Sit there and play sounding board if you have to; it's the best thing you can do right now.

She's accepted who she is. That's important.
Other people accepting it is not important. It's nice, but really unnecessary. If her step dad can't deal with it, that's his problem. She could just tell him that she is sorry he is upset about it, but that she felt it was important to confide in him.
