At my last job I told the boss that I respected him. I felt dirty afterwards, what I really wanted to say was that I respected his position of authority with the company.

I have never lied to anyone. I might say something while implying something else while what I'm saying is still technically true, or I might not tell the whole truth, but I never lie.

I never lied to my boss directly. I usually lied to his assistant, since he was rarely in.
