so heres the deal i've been best frends wit this gurl since 6th grade so now i'm in 10th, and my moms gettin tired of her and doesn't like her cuase she lies too much and to tell the truth, i'm kinda tired of her too but nothing seems to separate us we'er known as the 2 M twins, i've got a clique (not those preppy popular ones lol) thing going on too and i like it better than me and just my so called bff, but i don't kno how to tell her if we could just be frends but not too close any help???and its kinda hard since u've been frends for sooo long and its like we do everything 2gether its like i'm trying 2 back up but she'll keep on gettin closer

Be straight not sweet. Not brutal. Straight.
Humor but no jokes.
Be prepared to feel bad. Life will always be breaking up and finding new friends over and over. It's called growing out of comfort zone. When you're feeling great discomfort and can't talk about it then the comfort zone is outgrown and if you don't get new outfits you will be bored and dislike the people you once liked. Once you do it honestly you will feel a great relief for being honest with yourself and your friend.
Suggestion: Don't try to spare her pain and explain that you really like her and you want to be friends but not that close.
Oh that hurts with superiority. And she will still want to hang on. Give her words that are not further invitations to stick around.
Better to say straight out "I want to grow in new direction. I have to get new friends. We've been friends 4 years which shows you are a great friend but even the greatest friends can limit each other''s growth. I've got to open up my world. We both do."
It's painful but it's a growing pain.
Give a hug and be on your way.

Even I had a friend whom my mom told to quit for xyz reason no stories I wanna talk here . But believe me 2 months After I left her i was in the merit list my pictures came in local papers & all . What I am trying to say is at this age people do have influances on you . If you stick with her you are screwed
You will never be what your parents want you to be . Its like a parasite at this age bad fnds it sucks ur brain & enegry . Believe me sweet words are nothing before a sincere moms advice . Think of your mom as parenst come first & they should matter to you the most not some fnd whom you can pick or loose in the way.

Listen to your mom dude before you have to pay child support . You do not need to get sexual cause it sounds like you might be smoking now. Anyway 10th grade means being a real guy and ditching a girl thats a problem. She is i can tell, you'll meet other less stupid chicks and be happier. Sounds like anyone would be better---she sounds desperate

Well, why don't you introduce your friend to your "clique" and see how it goes. It's not very nice to just drop your bf because you found a different group of people to hang out with. If you're truely bf then I'm sure she'd understand it if you wanted to hang out with other friends sometimes too.

Are you willing to give up a friendship that's lasted that long for a group of friends that don't know you that well? Even though your friend is being not quite what you've known her to be, I wouldn't leave her. Think about it as if you were in her shoes.

So guess what you are going to have to be the one to tell her to go find a way to away and do it in a nice easy way and let her know that you are the one that needs some space and she is following you in a way like a puppy dog and to cool it. You have to find the way to pull it off and to tell her the way and do it soon. Or your going to have problems. I wish you luck and do it soon. Tell her you are in a way saying bye bye.
