help, i hearrt him so much?

this guy constantly talked about me in front of his friends and always smiling and looking my way when I walked pass them. but when he's alone, he does nothing but stare at me, no smile, nothing. after 2 months, I didn't see him on campus at the same place again. the campus is so big, it's hard to meet anyone if you're not in a team or in a class. recently, I saw him again and I was like, oh my! he's there again and now his friends check me out while talking to him. he's still interested. but I'm shy so I don't know if this would work, but I'm starting to like him A LOT. and we never talked together. (is this strange?) he doesn't seem shy by the way his friends are all jocks and the way they talk. sometimes I think if he's even serious because it seems they just check out every hot girl that pass by them and I happen to be one of them. so wut they you guys think. one time I pointed him out to my friend and she said "looks like those type of guys that go to school for fun."

and i'm not sure, but guys, if you get excited just by looking at a girl, does that mean she's hot? I'm just afraid he's too intimidated to ask me. he's 21.
sometimes when he's alone, and he stares at me, he looks very frustrated and pissed. and I guess it's because he's not that bad looking and maybe he wants me to make a move? (but I'm scared and shy)

Yes very strange, unless you take into account that your not use to relationships with men, apparently. Are else you would of walk'd on by the weirdo..... lol, yep classic group dynamics overriding personal satisfaction.... not good even if he does
"like" you, because he has more to loss from disappointing his friends, then he does in disappointing you. Sounds like your pretty alone on that great big campus, be patient. Don't think that him like you is going to over ride his insecurities even if you break the ice. Just realize love is never enough... espacially just plain attraction which is what your basing all this on....
