I think you have 2 separate problems. First, concerning your homepage always switching back to Google, Spybot Search & Destroy has a feature to prevent changing IE's homepage. It is possible you have the feature turned on and therefore you are unable to change it. You can access the feature by starting Spybot > make sure you are in Advanced mode > click "Tools" > click "IE Tweaks" > uncheck "Lock IE start page setting against user changes (current user)."

As for "0x7c809783 referenced memory" message, there is a good chance your computer has a bad RAM module. Occasionally, I get a similar message when an error occurs while writing information to RAM but, after a reboot, the problem resolves itself. If the problem presists then it is more likely there is some permanent damage to the RAM. You can use the free utility Memtest to check your RAM for problems. The download link is (http://www.memtest.org/). The website has information on how to use it.

sounds like you might have bad memory. I would go and buy one good stick of memory and then try to find the bad memory and then replace it with the good one and then take that old memory back to the store and tell them it don't work that way you can get you money back.

I'd recommend a system restore, to as far back as possible, or at least where you can remember this wasn't happening. If that's not possible, I'd recommend a clean install. Good luck!
