okay so i go tanning because i want a tan. anyway, i have seriously about 1000 freckles on my face and arms and shoulders and i hate them. they dont look good on me at all. i was reading other answers about how freckles are cute and all and how guys like them, but theyre not on me. and since i go tanning theyre standing out a lot more. is there anyway i could not get more freckles and still get a tan? or should i just use some type of makeup to cover them up? i need help..

I don't care if a girl has a tan or not.
But freckles are sexy.

[1] Freckles are cool.
[2] Freckles are a reaction of your skin's pigmentation that will only grow with the more "tanning" you do. The less exposure to sunlight, artificial or not, the fewer freckles you will have (but you'll always have a base amount).
[3] Unless you want to look like you're made out of leather by the time you're 30, knock the tanning off.

People expect more of you when you have freckles or if you have naturally curly hair. That's what the "Peanuts" character, Peppermint Patty says!
I always figured if I stayed out in the sun long enough, my freckles would connect and then I would REALLY look tan! Well, bummer.... instead I've had two basal cell carcinoma (skin cancers) removed from my shoulder and my leg.
Maybe you should enjoy your skin for years and years, freckles and all, instead of wishing for that wonderful tan.

You get them from sun/UV exposure. Your skin doesn't tan uniformly but in blotches, ie freckles. Eventually you will tan in between the lines but over all you will freckle. So the more you tan the more they will stick around.

oh um well if you want to get tan then you should get the cover up but i think they will stand out because i have freckles well just a lilttle but any way they dont look good on me either

Freckles are beatiful and make you unique.
Use makeup because tanning will kill you and make your skin like leather later in life.
Leathery wrinkled skin is so much worse than unique freckles.

Yes- you are right - going "tanning" will make you look like you have more freckles..may even give you skin cancer.

yeah tons of freckles isn't cute, just a few freckles is cute. I used to have a ton, and still do on my arms, but the ones on my face just kinda faded away into almost nothing. Just hope you are as fortunate.

tanning shouldnt bring out more freckles. maybe they just werent as noticable before you started tanning. any way heres an old wives tale. lemon juice. by dabbing it on your freckles its supposed to make them lighten up. also if you take 1/2 a lemon ( for both elbows) and rub it on your elbows, its suppossed to get rid of rough skin.

A good celebrity example would be Lindsay Lohan. A few years ago her face was covered with freckles. Now she has none. I think that theres a procedure you can get to take some of your freakles away. Look into some spas that offer that procedure.
