Apparently your having trouble with this ,because your question is without question ,but it does not make a difference ,you have a good memory or you dont ,period.
If you want to help your memory then think of all the things you have forgotten ,especially guilt inducing things,,,It's should be a known fact by now that happy or well adjusted people
who are or never remembered they may have suffered trauma ,forget .It's miserable people who seem to remember the most but still probably cannot remember the 90% of good
or regular ,thats because being brought up in a never changing sane environment causes the brain to see the same old same old day in day out,,you can be so well requisitly enowed that there is no way to see yesterday ,the
also goes with it the things you need to remember that you
learned yesterday....May happen to get swept away in
the stability ...Now lets say you are in school and trying to study for a test..But a tragedy happens while youi are and
your brain switches mode ,but the test answers are there stuck with the tragedy you subconciencly are trying to forget even if you dont want to really ,so most likely you will flunk the test....unless the tragedy was not a tragedy for you or trauma after all...Then one would not know what to say about you "really"

You forget to say how many pictures you would have. Is it all on one page, or are you having one picture per page and then have them look at them for five minutes? How complicated are the pictures? Is it as simple as a cat, a dog, a TV, caretc.? I think this idea could go better if you tried this: Have a list of the items written: TV, cat, car, dog, TV, etc. and show it to one group of people and see how many they can remember afterwards and then have another group look at pictures of the same list, but no words, just pictures. Your question would then be: Do people remember more by looking at pictures or reading words? Sounds like a good science fair project. Good luck!
P.S. With my suggestion, you can even add a third group, where you have them see both the words and the pictures, and then see how many of the objects they can remember afterwards.

I think saying it and writing it down helps you to remember better. At least that works for me. In the situation you are describing though, I think it may be easier to just say what you remember about it out loud. Sounds interesting and fun.

For me, I remember more if I write it down, even if I forget the list, I can visualize it in my mind. Repeating things just doesn't seem to work for me. I can repeat something from one room to another, then for get what is was. Good luck on your project. (I'm a 59 yr old female.)

I have photographic memory, so writing things down OR saying it would be about the same outcome, if i said "rainbow" out loud, I would think of a rainbow anyways, if i wrote "rainbow" on paper, i would still think of a rainbow, it works about the same.
