What do you see yourself doing in the future if you take this up? Everyone knows that Masscom is unprofessional. She even said that herself.

She even wanted to take up BS Psychology or Computer Science. The only problem is though, her mom's forcing her to take mass com (because according to her you can also learn how to deal with people and be computer literate during the course of its program, therefore you needn't study the two other courses). They've talked about it over and over, but still her mom insists.

I wanna tell her to convince her mom to do what she wants. But is it the right thing to do? Doing this may appear to be sign of rebellion and I wouldn't like that.

If I can't do the above, then might as well encourage her. What's up with Mass Com, anyway? What are the good things about it?

Simply stated - none of your business.

As a friend, you can let her know what you think. After that, unless she asks for your assistance, the issue sololy rests on your friend. She needs to stand up for her mother, if she wants to.

Unless she asks for your help, your role as a friend, is to give her what she needs - not what you think she should have.
