Look back, Planet Earth, March 2003. 70,000 cities around the world had millions of ordinary people marching in the streets, Rome, a record number worldwide, ever ! London 2 million, the list goes on.
We, the ordinary people of the world, almost stopped the invasion of Iraq. I firmly believe that within the next decade we will exert our Intent on those that presume to 'lead' us, and stop this bloody nonsense once and for all.
We will not achieve this by doubting it, it can only be brought into being by the majority of us willing it to be.
Now would be good......

May of the country's in the world may never stop fighting. But if we all came together and realised that we all share this world, and our kind is not going to leave for a while. We all should spend the little time we have on this earth not worrying about other countries or fights/wars, but rather than live our life th way God intended us to.

As long as there are a few willing to resort to violence, we need some cohersive force to control them, unfortunately only physical containment will work for those unwilling to alter their behaviour, as no argument has the force to control someone out of control. Thus violence counteracts violence.
Sad, really, but our best hope is still to find ways to deter people from resorting to violence, such as more equal power and resource sharing, instilling a reason based morality with mutual respect, freedom and justice as its foundations, across the superficial boundaries of nationality, religion or faith, class, race, sex and sexual orientation.
Until now this ideal state has slipped through our fingers as the us and them mentality are continuously strengthened by governments, religions, economic interest groups and other divisive forces, such as racist ideologies and, most of all, failed education systems preaching and teaching conformity instead of developing our critical faculties and teaching us how to think and not what to think. It takes years to heal the wounds of injustice, which still occur daily and thus to hope for universal everlasting peace is just a tad bit optimistic.
Of course change starts at the individual level and can add up to great numbers in time, so to be disillusioned by the magnitude and seeming futility of this peaceful dream is no excuse for switching sides or not keeping up your end of the bargain, but we have to be realistic and take it one step at a time. Vote, debate, inform, challenge, expose and condemn, all peacefully and rationally and give more than you take.

That is a dream of mankind and has been since first wars were started. For man has an insanity, and it is called wars! He must first gain an understanding of himself in all aspects, with full realisation of what he actually is before wars will be extinct. The triggers of an insidiousness so violent as to resort to death in order to resolve situations of life must be located and nulled before you can attain the dream of a world without war. For appointing only those insane enough to create war to fix their imaged demons or fancied wrongs committed against them as children is an insanity as a populace we must face too if we are to resolve the creation of wars. You can't live in peace where you don't understand your fellow man, let alone yourself. You can't live in harmony when you have nutters running loose undetected and no way of determining who is and who isn't.
But, yes - the dream can be reached. It must be reached! If we are to remain active in this world as we are, then this goal must be worked out/solved and brought into being NOW!

Yeah of course. All we have to do is remove the feelings of distrust, insignificance, suspicion etc and oh my, we 'd be dead before all that happened. The world is just a representation of a simple premise. Chop 7 billion people down to seven, they still wouldn't get along. Probably influencing folk started it all. Consider this: If there was Utopia how interesting would the newspapers be if any?

That's like calling the kettle blue. It just goes against, not just human nature, but all of nature itself. Peace, harmony, tranquility all are extremely rare and uncommon things in our universe of chaos and cataclysm.
Peace may give blissful happiness, but it doesn't give meaning or purpose to our lives. People are addicted to happiness, despite the fact that it is but a tiny speck on the spectrum of experiences one can have. Most would rather be like fat cows grazing on free happiness, completely oblivious to anything else.
I for one would rather experience and appreciate life for what it is, a b****. I would rather feel everything; from the sorrow to the glee, from the pain to the ecstasy, from the rage to the placidity. Not complain about woes of the world and cringe at the slightest sting of suffering. Appreciate these things for what they are because someday your expiration date will arrive and you won't be able to experience anything ever again.
