After finishing college, I plan to move to Burbank, CA, get an apartment/job, and sign with an acting agency, so I will hopefully reach the "big times". Any advice about acting, burbank, agencies, jobs, etc...?? Thanks so much!!

burbank can sometimes be expensive... but look around there are pockets of good priced apartments. (I would also try to find a roommate or two or three to share expenses) I know that several of the studios near by, including WB, often cast extras and that's a good place to get your foot in the door. Only go with an agency that has a good reputation... there are a lot out there that won't do anything for you. Otherwise make sure you network, network, network... oh and did I mention... NETWORK!

Good luck!

Burbank is a cool place to live but there are cheaper places. Acting classes were fun. You'll find a job somewhere and even if you don't reach the "big time", just have fun doing what you're doing. Sooner or later something will happen though so enjoy the ride.

Make connections in CA, before you get there, take an exploratory trip, so you can get the lay of the land.

Set up meetings with any contacts you have that can get you into casting agencies and talent agents. If you wait until you get there, you will fall through the cracks.

Perform in your city, as much as possible, to build your résumé.

Ask your acting teacher for introductions to anyone she/he knows in the industry in L.A.

aquire connections, connections and more connections

also, your personality and ability to act will have most to do with your "big time" success

there are lots and lots of good looking people everywhere, but dont get far just with looks

good luck! (you sure will need some of this too...)
