Robert James Woolsey, former director of the CIA, public servant under evrey president since Nixon, educated at Stanford, Oxford and Yale said in an interview in Motor Trend that the way to beat the terrorists is to become independent of foreign oil. He drives a Prius - the bumper sticker on it reads, "Bin Laden Hates This Car."

"We're paying for both sides of this war, and that's not a good long-term solution."

If we are serious about security, isn't it time for a complete redo of this nation's energy policy?

Sorry no link, it's not available yet. You'll have to buy the magazine.

You do have a point that we would be less dependant on foreign oil if we had someting better. I am not sure that there is any connection with that and terrorists and what kind of car Woosley is driving. Lets see how much you really believe in this cause, what do you drive? What are you doing to reduce the dependance on foreign oil? What is your long term plan and goals for our energy policies?

If you want to criticize the policy of the US, be ready to give some plan to replace it.

Your statement about a link and magazine totally has me puzzeled. What are you trying to say?

Prius's cost 20 times the energy to produce, they are full of toxic chemicals and have the largest life time carbon foot print of any vehicle. Bin Laden hated Christianity, he was a (probably long dead now) zealot and martyr, he couldn't have cared less how much Middle East oil you used before moving on to diesel (inevitable eventually).
The way to beat terrorists is not to create them w. wars such as the first Gulf War that has breed all the trouble since. You've been hit twice by foreign terrorists who exploited non-existent intelligence services, hardly the blitz yet you encourage maniacs to freely buy as many guns and as much ammo as they can carry to shoot children with, if you're going to be afraid of shadows by all means do but get some proper control over what kind of loonies can stock pile guns first.
