Sperm can live for up to 5 days if the conditions are "right". This means that you need to have fertile cervical fluid. I think on average, sperm live about 3 days, so you can get pregnant anywhere from about 3-5 days before you ovulate.
To definitely be able to determine if you have ovulated, you should take your basal body temperature each day, and when it spikes, you ovulated the day before. If you haven't been charting, I don't really know how you could predict when you would ovulate, and I don't know how anyone else could predict that as well.
You call also buy the home ovulation predicter kits in the drug store to determine when you'll be ovulating. If you want to get pregnant, get busy about 3-5 days prior to when you'll be ovulating. On the safe side, have sex every other day for about a week before you expect ovulation, and then continue for a few days after you think it has happened.

The egg lives for about one day, so yes. sperm live for a couple of days so you can put them there before 4/27/07. predicting ovulation is not an exact science.

If you do in fact ovulate on that day, you can only get pregnant by having sex on that day or a few days surrounding it. Sperm can live in your body for around 4 days or so. However, you never know when your cycle could be disturbed and you could ovulate on a different day.

It's not the only day you could get pregnant. Sperm can live in the vagina for up to 7 days. So if you had sex right around that date your chances are higher as that is when your egg is released.

No but the 5 days before and after are your most fertile. You probably can't get pregnant the day before your period or the next day either.

NO ,THAT MEANS THAT FROM THAT DAY AND FOR THE REST 3 DAYS YOU CAN.PLUS A MAN'S SPERM CAN LIVE INSIDE OF YOU FOR 3-4 DAYS!!!/BUT NO DOCTOR CAN NOW FOR SURE WHEN YOU OVULATING!! SO MY ADVISE IS TO BAY THE THERMOMETER THAT IS FOR THAT JOB(THAT TELL'S YOU WHEN YOU OVULATING),AND START PRACTISING.................
