In 1968 a much bigger surge caused a much bigger increase in violence. And 7 years later we lost. Why will this be any different?

...and all the while, most of the rest of the world sits by passively and does nothing. Spectators, as usual.

The Middle East turns its backs on its own problems. Very sad situation. Human rights (especially for women) would mean the downfall of the current Middle East, but no one really seems to endorse their promotion (Any womens' libbers' out there? Maybe Libs for the rights of women? Anything?)

So you are just like thousands of others, including myself. What exactly is your question? If you don't have something to say that could be an improvement, or make things better, then keep your mouth shut.

I am not for the war, but I am not willing to laugh away that many people the way you want to.

What is your point? Did you think we could increase our numbers by 20,000 & begin an all out clean up surge, and the deaths would decrease? You need to go back to your history books - the deaths always, always increase before any victory in war.

Most of us knew the surge wouldn't work; it just serves to get more soldiers killed.

Is there a point here? dead people and soldiers kinda go along with war... there's some history for ya...
Like history?
How do those numbers comepare to past wars?
Maybe you should take a history class yourself before you go randomly spouting facts and figures.

65 to 935 Sounds good to me. Lets kill some more of these towel heads.

Quit hugging tress. These people surround themselves with women and children just so that the media will say our troops have killed innocents.

They are gutless cowards.

maybe you should quit watching CNN and turn on the Military channel

I think anyone who was familiar with history would have made some better decisions. He's messing with an area of the world that has always been unstable, and he should have known what would happen.

You love the fact that 935 innocent civilians died?
My opinion? You are sick.
