I know you cant own any gun with a felony in most states. Some probably have less strict gun laws, so you'd have to check the state laws.

Yes, but the person would have to have his firearms rights restored by whatever mechanism his state provides and it's not an easy process.

no man or woman in any state can ever purchase or own a firearm with a legal conviction. in case you own one now, do not boast about it. you'll do intense time. recognize this, a felon is marked for existence and it is going on record with each regulation enforcement employer, NCIC and CODIS.
