It was back aways... I was teaching canoeing lessons for our local rec department. The boathouse is located at the end of a lake, which connects to the ocean by a short tidal river. Seagulls nest on top of the boathouse. Huge building, huge number of gulls (I have another name for them *grin*). That morning I neglected to pound on the roof with one of the oars to the dory... walked out onto the deck... and got pooped on as hundreds of seagulls woke up and took their morning constitutional.
*WHY ME???!!!* was the sentiment... but I sure didn't look up!
