there are no link cables that accessorize the DS. instead, it uses wi-fi. wifi doesn't necessarily mean over the internet - it also means in close proximity to you.

some games have compatibility from gba to ds, like transfering rescue mail passwords on pokemon rescue

some games can communicate, like how you can put pokemon from fire, leaf, emerald, ruby or sapphire onto either pearl or diamond (but you cannot go *from* d/p to the earlier games no matter what)

it all depends on the game itself, and the specs that are created with it

It said so in the DS manual that you can't trade with GBA games .

u can play the nintendo ds w/o the link cable

This pisses me off. You cant trade anymore becuase there is no wireless and there is no spot for the link cable. Whatever pokemon diomand is coming out sunday!Cant wait its going to be a blast! It'll make up for it!
