What pumpkin said is right. Anyways is not proper. I think it started from people who weren't fluent in English as well. It is slang.

Anyway is a correct term. It means "Well," or "Actually" or "Regardless"

Example: "I was putting on my shoes. Or was it my socks? Or was I ready by then, - well, anyway, the phone rang, and it was . . . . ." and the person goes on with the story.

AnywayS is incorrect and means the same thing but is said wrongly.
