No, the baby is well protected behind your uterine wall and surrounded by amniotic fluid...a little tummy sucking-in isn't gonna do anything to the baby! I am 9 months pregnant and still try to suck in my stomach every once in a while just to see if it is all baby...lol...it's pretty funny to do when you get this big!

oh no, not at all. This is my second child and my daughter hugs me, and sometimes runs into me by accident. This baby is so low, I bump my stomach on counter tops and when I roll over I am momentarily on my stomach. I am 31 weeks and pretty big... the baby is fine. He is in a swimming pool in their

No, the baby is fine, but why would the Dr. want to see if you were showing or not, he should be able to see that.

never h eard of the dr. asking you to suck in your tummy....but noo that isn't going to squish your baby.

Ummm....no. That baby is pretty well protected . I think you'd better read up on pregnancy and fetal development just in case you missed it in biology class.
