I can't think of anything more insulting to the families of the victims than to give the gunman exactly what he wanted--the national spotlight. They could have released a transcript or paraphrased what was in the video without plastering it all over the internet. It just seems like giving him exactly what he wanted. Am I the only one disgusted by this?

I agree w/ you. I also think the shooter's family is being more agressively tracked down by the media.

There weren't stories about the Columbine killers' physical homes - descriptions, etc. Or articles about their siblings.

The Unibomber didn't get to air his views/tirades on national TV.

I agree. His video should not have been aired. His thoughts and opinions are void and meaningless. I don't understand why he's getting special treatment.
