No but I've caught fish sticks. (fisherman's term for those little twigs that get caught on your line) I've caught beer cans, old fishing line, other fishing rod and reels, lures, pieces of plastic, logs, and a hodge podge of other items but never a rubber boot.

No, I never have, but one reason people sometimes do is fishing is a very dangerous job, especially since regulation . Many are lost at sea every year due to pressure to make the quota. Even in small ponds and lakes, fisherman drown.

At first I thought of cartoons or movies where someone hauls up a shoe and a fish pops out and spits water at them, or slaps them in the face with it's tailfins. Silly. But now I'll feel sad if I ever reel in a boot. :(

Well personally I don't know how people catch rubber boots but I have caught one before. I think it might be because your line just hooks on to the boot and it sticks. That is sorta hard to do I guess but it has happened! :)

Because that's what they pour the cement into to make the "cement shoes."

The cement washes away because they dump the victim before the cement sets up.

Then, you have 2 rubber boots left per mob hit.

So I guess some people pull up rubber boots.

Or tires.

Or seaweed.

No but we were fishing off of the pier in Galveston Texas and I was throwing bread crusts up the seagulls at the time time my boyfriend cast his line out and he snagged a seagull. It was so funny. Well not for the bird but we were all teasing him about his 'BIG CATCH".
