I think we should, the world is getting sicker and sicker. Everyday I open the newspaper or watch the news, and theres been another murder! I think if there is 100% evidence 2 suggest that the person is guilty, give them what they gave others death. It might make others think twice before, killing someone

Yes ,and they should be killed the same way they murdered. No easy lethal injection.
It depends what country , Canada for example used to have the death penalty but no longer does unfortunately.
In the USA it has it but not in all the States.

Oh where to start.......
~Many states still have the dealth penalty.... many states just don't use it. They need to speed the process up. Set a time limit.... You get 5 years to sit on death row and try to prove you are innocent.... after that flip the switch. We as law abiding tax payers are paying for death row inmates to eat, sleep get an education and numerous other things at our expense!
~We have a seperation of CHURCH & STATE for an effing reason! God has nothing to do with the death penalty! Stop asking for 11th hour forgiveness..... just sit your hinny in the chair and lets get the show on the road.
~Maybe if we used the death penalty more than every 10 years or so in most states, than idoits would stop offing each other and become good law abiding people and we could debate better things like say better health care!

Take a look at Texas. Texas is quick to put anyone to death. Look at how many people are now being freed due to DNA evidence (Bless the Innocence Project). People that have been incarcerated years! Until we can be sure we are not putting innocent people to death I don't want the death penalty. As long as we have law enforcement officials and attorneys that are quick to rush to judgement just so someone can pay for the crime - no death penalty.

I am reluctantly against the death penalty for two reasons:

1. the legal system is inept and will execute the wrong person;

2. powerful people including senators and congressmen can misuse the death penalty as a form of legal assassination to remove politcal opponents by setting someone up for a capitol offense (such as treason during a time of war) and have them executed, i.e. assassinated.

I have no problems on executing a severe criminal only if the legal system where infallible, and it is not.

1. Bring the death penalty back from where? We have it.

2. Having it has NEVER stopped murder.

Some bumperstickers I've seen: "How can a person be pro-life AND pro death penalty?"

I hate to burst your bubble but the states that have the death penalty still have high crime rates. It doesn't work because it reinforces the belief that killing another human is okay in "some" circumstances.

When it is NEVER okay will be when we have less murders.

i think of that serial/mass killers (which contains terrorists) could desire to stand the loss of lifestyles penalty, and provided that the evidence of their guilt is one hundred% ordinary and foolproof, by way of not purely DNA, yet witnesses, CCTV, and so on. this isn't for some form of revenge, yet because of the fact in the event that they get away from reformatory, they pose a intense and severe danger to society. those form of folk won't be able to be rehabilitated. they generally have severe character/psychotic issues which won't be able to be taken care of. examine out what got here approximately while Ted Bundy in united statesa. escaped from reformatory. He went and killed greater women human beings and a infant. He develop into an extremely sensible and calculating guy, and serial killers many times are. this is why they are able to flee and why they are able to each each and every now and then wreck out with their crimes for consequently long. As for different severe crimes, like homicide, rape, and so on. i'm nice with lifestyles in reformatory (if it definitely potential it) or a minimum of long sentences (30 years+). it may look strange, yet i don't propose the loss of lifestyles penalty for 'revenge' motives. It only provides out a vastly hypocritical message approximately how killing is incorrect, yet we are killing human beings ourselves.

I personally think not, bcuz if a person did something so bad to get the death penalty, I feel that they should suffer in jail not get the easy way out by death

The shooter recieved the death penalty many years ago through abuse of society. Society took his life away through bullying, alienation, teasing, rejection, ect, ect and the end result was a tragedy.

The people who teased him and treated him poorly in the years past should be held accountable for this tradegy. They created the monster, the monster didn't create itself.
