Okay, to create an equivalent fraction, just multiply the top and bottom numbers by the same number. For instance, if the fraction is 5/6, you can make an equivalent one by multiply both top and bottom by two. This would equal 10/12, multiply that by the same number and more will come. You can also multiply 5/6 by 100 and get 500/600.

To change a fraction into a decimal, simply divide the numerator (top) by the denominator (bottom). So 13/20 in fraction form is the answer to 13 divided by 20. So, the answer is 0.65.

10/12, 15/18 - these fractions can all be broken down and are equivalent to 5/6.

Divide 20 into 13, because 20 is too big to be divided into 13 you divide it into 130. Your answer is . (decimal point) and then the number. Your answer would be .65

To find equivalent fractions, multiply or divide the numerator and denominator by the same number. Usually multiplication is easiest.
5/6*2/2=10/12
5x2/6x2=10/12

Fractions are division problems. So 13/20 is the same as 13 divided by 20. Using long division you would get .65.
