Sometimes goldfish can be picky eaters. My first quesion would be what is the water temperature in the tank? If the water is too cold, below 55 or too warm above 75 they will be slow to eat if at all.
Goldfish need a balanced diet. When choosing a fish food choose one with high protein (48% or better) and low fat (5% or less)
You can supplement their diet with things like Lettuce, mustard greens, turnip greens, collard greens, spinach, peas, endive, seaweed, cukes, kale, chard, broccoli, lima beans, green beans, etc. and feed aquatic plants (e.g. duckweed, azolla, salvenia, etc) or hair algae daily.
For their Carotenoids which are a family of pigments the fish can't make themselves and are obtained as part of the diet. These pigments result in red, yellow and orange colors. Fish have cells called chromataphores. Those cells convert lutein and carotenes into astaxanthin which is the red pigment.
sources include, brine shrimp, krill, spirulina, marigold flowers, paprika, sweet red peppers, yams, carrots, pumpkin
Watermellons and oranges are also good as well as proteins like chicken (chicken livers) beef (livers and parts) and pork as well as worms and bugs.
Try a few of these and see if they will eat. Also, have you tested your water? What are the readings?
If you need further assistance feel free to email me.

Just because your fish aren't swarming to the surface when you put in the food doesn't mean that they aren't eating. Animals won't starve themselves. Chances are they are picking it from the bottom of the tank later, when they are actually peckish.
Kinda like leaving a snack plate out all day for a child and then asking them to eat a full dinner.
I would suggest trying a good clean out of the bottom of the tank. That's where all the hidden goodies are. Then feed them only half for the next couple of meals. Chances are you should see a response pretty quick. Make sure also that you aren't overfeeding them as well. Most fish only need to be feed once a day (or twice at a lower amount if you have fish that fight over food)
Make sure that any stressful points in their environment are removed. Stress is about the only thing that will put an animal off its food for more than a day or so. Flashing lights, loud noises, sudden changes in temperature should all be avoided since they would stress your fish.

If you have only had the fish for 4 days they may still be settling in.I wouldn't worry to much yet, just keep putting in a small amount of food every now and then but don't put very much until they start to eat or it will rot and mess up your water. Also are they in a proper aquarium(gold fish will get very large and produce alot of waste so you need at least a 20 gallon aquarium depending on the type you have) and is the tank cycled.

How do you know they aren't eating? Are you sitting there 24/7....never taking your eyes of the fish? Fish sometimes eat "food" from the tank, rocks, plants.

It's probably nothing to worry about, but you can ry tempting them with a few peas or a bit of lettuce or spinach, they really like all of those.

have you tried other types of fish food? you may need to try varying their diet.
try feeding them some freeze dried food such as brine shrimp, water fleas or tubifex.
most of the brands of fish food that i bought for my gold fish and tropical fish were by tetramin.

Im so sorry to hear your pet fish are not eating. There is not much you can do to make fish eat.I had loads of pet fish before, and they all died! When they stay afloat at top of the water, thats when they are about to die. My vet told me it is something to do with there system.I do hope your pet fish get better.
