which cruzer micro do you have? if it's the sdcz6 then it may or may not work on vista. this cruzer has a U3 partition on it. it's more advanced then a regular flash drive. depending on the device version you have it may not work on vista. device version 2.17-2.20 will never work on vista and 2.16 and 2.21 and higher can upgraded when SanDisk comes out with an update. they don't have the update at this time. Or properly you best bet is to return it and exchange it for one that says it's vista compatible on the package. they recent sent out a new batch this is guaranteed on vista.

if you have sdcz4 it's too old and will never work.

let me see if i can be at any help. you didn't mention what type of windows vista you have? assuming that you have vista premium, click on start, in the search box, Type in "computer management". hit enter.
in the middle pane double click on Storage, then double click on Disk Management. see if you see your removable drive there. if you do right click on the removable drive and and change drive letter and paths to a new drive letter.
if you don't, try using add/remove from control panel.
Micro Cruzer also comes with it's own software in the drive, see if you could install it.
if none of these methods works, there is a good chance that your flash drive might be bad.
hope this helps.
