The property where the car is parked is a house we use as a rental property. We want to have the car removed before the next tenant moves in. The rental property is located out in the country in Northern California and the car has been abandoned. Who can I call to have it towed without having to shell out a lot of my own money?

You guys in Cali have funny laws. In Texas, you can usually call a scrap metal hauler and they'll come and get it.

Nobody will take the car if you can't produce the title. Your best bet is to (in order of cost):

1) Push the car into the street. The cops will have it hauled off.

2) Break into the car and steer it while a friend tows you away with a tow-strap. Leave the car at a Walmart or in a field.

3) Rent a tow dolly or car transporter from U-Haul, and cart it off to Walmart or a field.

That receipt concept is sturdy! in case you write them a letter asserting why you have been there longer - make it up, say you have been sick - they could assist you off. i've got carried out it and been enable off some situations. What those supermarkets do is thoroughly unethical, they don't care approximately human beings, only money. i could definately try the belief with the receipt, too. Make a huge sufficient fuss, threaten to save someplace else. many times shops don't have tapes of their cameras. whether they did, they are not going to trawl by way of each and every of the photos for a parking nice, it aint nicely worth their together as. you're able to be able to desire to assert you have been an prolonged time on the cheese counter, then an prolonged time on the till ultimately, whinge that it took this long to save, then you definately get a value tag! That internet internet site link is extremely thrilling additionally.

Call an auto salvage yard and tell them they can have the car if they come and tow it. I'm sure they will be happy to do it for you.

Take the catalytic converter off first and then you can sell that to a scrap metal place. You can get up to a 100 bucks for it. I hear.

Call a local auto mechanic. tell him the scenerio and see if he may want to buy it for the cost of the towing expense. will cost you nothing but time on the phone. my dads boss received a 2005 crossfire that was abandoned. 125.00 for towing and the title is his. he will resell it for 15,000.
you could even do that, put it on your property to move it and order a new title and resell it unless it isnt worth anything.
you could call a tow truck company just to come and he may know where to dump it to someone who will buy it

If you have the title to it you can get bout anyone to take it off your hands. If not, then I'd push it down the street a bit and let the city deal with it. That takes you out of any liability/storage issues.
