why doesnt the cell membrane pinch in to duvude the cytoplasm telophase in plant cells?

Plant cells have a fairly rigid cell wall that will not pinch in. If the cell is going to become two separate daughter cells, plant cells must form a cell plate between them. The new plasma membrane and cell walls are laid down on both sides of the cell plate.
