Well, in addition to the shopping, the sunbathing, and the rollercoaster rides, which should kill a few hours during the day, there's tons you can do at night!
As you already know, you can't gamble, and every club I've researched in Las Vegas stipulates that you MUST be 21 or older to enter, but there are still plenty of evening entertainment options for an 18-year-old! The House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, for example, offers all-ages access to some of their concerts -- previous and upcoming shows include Five For Fighting, The Decemberists, Sevendust, and Citizen Cope. The same is true for esteemed music venue The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel -- check their websites to see if anyone cool will be playing while you're there. Another evening option is Jillian's on Fremont Street, which offers bowling, billiards, and arcade games -- you can even eat there afterwards too.
Have a great trip, and don't sweat the fact that you can't gamble -- as least you won't be losing any money! The time will come soon enough, and there's plenty to keep you occupied in the meantime. Trust us, no-one's EVER been bored in Vegas, whatever their age!

Forget it. If you're going over NYE, you're NOT going to get into the clubs - they're even more strict over any holiday weekends - especially THAT one. They come down even harder on fake IDs then too... Instead of just confiscating it, there's often handcuffs and a ride in a black and white car involved too. I was 9 DAYS away from being 21 years old - 216 hours - and I was thrown out of the MGM Grand for gambling underage. I'm now over 30 and I get IDed everywhere - my MOTHER gets IDed too!

Well good thing you said "I can't gamble" because their more then losing your money on a poor game. You can watch performances go to a fancy resturants or go meet cute guys. But if you have a boyfriend or married or something then just go do something else.

Check out the outlets in Primm, NV.... its close by and I'm pretty sure there's a shuttle from the MGM Grand.... outlets are so much better than shopping at the pricey places in the casinos....
and if you're going to see shows, plan ahead!! Get your tickets way in advance!

Go shopping - Aladdin, Venetian, and Caesars all have GREAT malls. Bellagio is cool to window shop. Chill by the pool. Sample some restaurants.

Funny that nobody mentioned the Midway at Circus Circus as well as their indoor roller coaster.
Excalibur has a good show for all ages, King Athur's Court (medieval show). They also have a Midway.
