How come women can't get along with each other?

I work at a bank with all women. I personally think the #1 reason women are hard to get along with is because we take everything so personally. Our feelings are hurt so easily and we make mountains out of molehills. We ALWAYS have to tell others about what "she" said or did, drama drama. I am no exception to the rule. I like to think I'm not a gossip but then I find myself in the middle of a ***** session before I realize it even began. We all deny it & say you can tell me , I'll keep your secret but everyone has their breaking point, some sooner than others. I'm glad I'm not a man I can't imagine having to be my husband.

I think there are different types of women. One kind of woman is deceitful, gossipy, sneaky, jealous and can never be trusted. You can't really be a friend of this type of woman and trust her, unless she is a family member, and even then she will lie to you. Another kind of woman is very warm, funny and supportive. She is full of friendship and sunshine. You can get along with her. There's another kind, who does not relate to other women, except as part of a married couple. Some other women don't like men and try to make them seem small and unimportant all the time. This kind of woman has ego problems and she will also try to control or surpass you. I would advise you to try to find the funny friendly sunshine woman for your friend. Her attitude is almost always good, She is not demanding, and her cheerfulness will lift your spirits.

Women are way more emotional than men. I have four brothers and didn't grow up with sisters, so when I went "out in the world" it was much harder for me to deal with the pettiness and catty nature of women. I think our emotions tend to get the best of us and it leads us to gossip, hold grudges, and basically be plain ol' mean.

I think women CAN get along but they've all got to be on the same maturity level. It's ironic because it's commonly thought that men mature later in life than women do, but I think we women need to take a lesson from men and not be so petty!

I think it is usually a 'maturity' thing. Women out of High School usually get along just fine.

We can! In my opinion, many women don't get along with other women because of jealousy. Its "the grass is always greener on the other side" theory. If women don't get along with you, it is probably because they want something you have. All of us women have to love who we are before we can love others.

I've said this before - I really haven't encountered difficulty getting along with other women in my daily life.

The only time I've ever had drama with other women was when that drama was related to romantic relationships. (ie, my ex-girlfriend and I don't get along)

I think the whole - "women are jealous and insecure" thing is just a lame stereotype.

I've always got along with women.

They're all grown up and married ... but we still love each other and get along.

I think it's a dislike of superiority and inferiority. You see I've been in so many situations (ie summer camp) where girls of the same age from every category of groups and cliques have gotten along great, except for the one girl who is just like them except she has a little bit of authority, and she became a complete outcast.

I think women get along with each other just fine.
In fact I find it much easier to communicate and interact with women than with men.

Mature women get along just fine. It's GIRLS who tend to behave more aggressively. The lower their status, the more aggressive the behavior tends to be. To the poster above: not only are young men more aggressive towards eachother - they tend to kill eachother too! Young men stand a high chance of violent death - not so for young women of exactly the same age. Poster, you are buying into a sexist stereotype.
