We are all considered black even if we're dark skin or light skin. I'm so sick of dark skin people hating light skin people and light skin people hating dark skin people. I'm also sick of the ones who think they're better. We need to stop all this color stuff its just skin, we're the same.

I only have a problem with people who I dont know. The whole skin thing is another thing that white people used to separate blacks based upon complexion. It was taught during slavery it is called internalized racism or intra racism. The slaveowners used that to further dehumanize Africans and cause further feelings of inferiority. By allowing the lighter skin individuals to receive less chores, or be allowed in the house. (Most of those were "Masters" children.
Africans were robbed of all connections to our language, heritage, and culture during slavery. We were systematically taught that we were inferior, and abused in ways that made us ashamed of ourselves -- with light skin/dark skin issues, and the emasculation of our men, who could not protect our women from rape and the shame of bearing the master's children.

I really don't think its about skin color. I think its more about the way a person acts. Take for instance light skin don't like dark skin because they think they're "more black" and dark don't like light because they think they're "better". My opinion is I don't like the ignorant black people. Those are the ones I like to call n*****s. These people give the race a bad name which makes most non blacks think we're all the same. They do seem to outnumber the amount of decent black people and they can be dark or light.

What do you expect us to be perfect and flawless like the "white race is" (SARCASM ALERT). I get a long with most Black people and I don't hate light skin people because I love myself and accept people that are different from me.

In-group/out-group behavior is the norm for humans. Every large group will naturally break itself down into smaller components, seeking a way to bond with others on a close level.
The problems start when groups begin to use highly negative behaviors with each other, such as ostracism, hate, and violence.
It does seem that a lot of light/dark relationships exist; maybe everyone will be brown-skinned soon and we won't have to worry about this. ;-)

We were divide by skin tone in slavery days. The pure black slaves were treated worse than the light-skinned slaves (results of slavemasters raping black women). The light-skinned slaves go stay in "massas" house and they got preferrential treatment. That divisive tools is still affecting us 2day...

Yes we should all get along with one another. I remember when there was a complexion problem with the African race. Now there is something far more greater and worst going on with US of color.
Different places which we inhabit is now the problem for example. Indians. African, Middle eastern ,Northern Africans,
all those of color must learn of each others Culture, Religion, always mindful that we are those of Color.accept one another & finally know we are of the same people and that is those of color!
I do agree with you! Now the problem has spreaded.

i personally am not like that at all.. (well probably because im half black and half latina) but i see people that are and i think its stupid. some people try and say light skin girls and mixed girls think they are better then dark skin girls. some do ill admit.. but most dont so its not fair to say that about all of us.
and the few light skinned and mixed girls that they think you are much cuter then the darker skinned girls well you're not so get over yourself. =] we are all beautiful.
