why would you want to? it's not hurting anything in there. it never appears until you type that into the address bar.

mostly it's used in framed sites to clear a frame.

there is no way to get rid of it.

firefox and netscape have it to.

type this into them

about:mozilla
about:config
about:cache
and several more

Click on Tools > Internet Options and type in your preferred "home page" web site and click OK.

First, update your anti virus and spyware programs, then restart the computer in safe mode.Run both of them and remove anything you find. then while in safe mode go to the control panel/internet options and set your home page to the one you want.
Then restart the computer in normal mode

I'm assuming its a pop up. Just download a pop up blocker or use the pop up blocker feature with IE and you should be fine.
