To delve deeper into yourself, you can
1) Take personality tests, such as the Myers-Brigs Personality Test. These ask questions such as: When you go to a party, do you stay early leaving tired or stay late and leave feel energized? Such tests will produce a combination of letters which correspond to paragraph length assessments which are fairly adequate descriptions of the type of person that you are.
2) Spend time with others and see how you behave in different social contexts around different people. It's amazing what you can learn about yourself from others. Ask close friends to tell you honestly what they think your strengths and weaknesses are.

By accessing your unconsious mind you can 'delve' deeper into your self. This can be done by Hyponsis. Or you can try this, get a blank peice of paper, set a timer for 5 mins.Just write down the first thing that comes into your head, if you cant think of anything repeat the last word. You will be suprised at what you write,as it comes out of your unconcious mind.

Try walking, swinging your arms and feeling the tingle of the blood in your fingertips. Feel the crunch of the gravel benath your toes. On that moment the 'chatterbox' you is no longer present. Spend some pleasant time with the You who is not self-absorbed. Get to know that new you, listen to this new person's thoughts.
good luck

Id not recommend to delve too deep. You might discover things you wont be able to return.
