Is it okay to feed oscars raw chicken?

There is absolutely no productive reason to do this. At best, it won't do much of anything, and at worst you'll cause constipation or other digestion problems. The fat and protein in poultry and mammal meat is absolutely nothing like that of their natural foods.

This is your fish. Why take the chance?

There are all sorts of other treats you can give him. Bits of raw fish are fine, as are worms, insects, insect larvae, and crustaceans like crayfish. Heck, if you feel rich give him some lobster or crab meat.

I wouldn't.
Just buy a quality pellet food for cichlids. Live foods or pure protein are going to produce a lot of waste and make for poor water quality.

I have recently been using New Life Spectrum and HBH Cichlid attack pellets. My Frontosa REALLY like the HBH pellets, and all the other Central American/South American and African cichlids have colored up amazingly from the New Life Spectrum pellets.

Not a good idea really and I certainly wouldn't make a habit of it. You're better off sticking with fish foods and feeder fish. Fish fillets from the grocery are a good food for him though.

it not a good idea because it have bacteria that may harm you fish. they do sell chicken for fish that was sterilized and that's safer. i wont recommend it. try cooking it in boiling water.

yes it is ok i have two oscars that are ten inches long and they eat everything from bugs to hot dog i have fed them turkey and chicken just make sure it is not spoiled chicken

yes, just make sure its clean and free of parasites, and don't buy the cheap stuff!
